TITLE   : “MODELING AND FABRICATION OF SOLAR OPERATED ELECTRIC BICYCLE”.

ABSTRACT: In the present scenario, the major concern is given for pollution free and eco-friendly motors. The Solar automotive systems are showing a very pivotal role in replacing general automotives which run with the help of fuels like Diesel, Petrol, Gasoline etc., Simple Solar E-Bicycles are very much useful for travel without causing any disturbance to the nature either by polluting through exhaust gases or through noise. Hence, it is focused on Solar E-Bicycles modelling and fabrication in the project work.

In the present work, E-Bicycle model is developed by using CATIA V5 R21 and the model is fabricated accordingly. Two 12 Volts 7.2 Amp-hour batteries are connected in series and used as a power bank. Two solar panels (Polycrystalline Silicon) with 17.56 Volts 0.57 Amps are placed on the top of the E-Bicycle for grabbing solar radiation.

The fabricated Solar E-Bicycle is completely charged for ride at different conditions with a single passenger load (approximately payload of 80kgs) and the performance is found satisfactory.
